Cast bronze marine shaft log / stuffing box assembly with integral faired hull mounting flange, hose-coupled packing gland and bronze lock nut. Removed from service as a hull take-off.

Application: general inboard shaft installation. No manufacturer name, casting number or model number is legible on this casting, and the specific vessel application is not verified. Suitability is determined by shaft bore diameter, gland thread, overall length and flange bolt pattern — all available by measurement on request.

Condition: used, untested take-off (grade C). Heavy verdigris and surface oxidation throughout, rust staining at the hardware and hose clamps, and remains of bedding compound on the mounting face. Appears substantially complete. The hose and clamps are aged and should be replaced. As a below-waterline fitting, this casting should be professionally cleaned and inspected for dezincification, cracking and wall-thickness loss, then re-hosed and re-packed, before reuse. No pressure test, dye-penetrant test or dimensional inspection has been performed.
