Tie-rod hydraulic/fluid-power cylinder (ram) with bronze end caps, four external tie rods, a spherical rod-end bearing and a ball-type pivot mount at the cap end. One port in each end cap.

Application: not verified. The copper-alloy end castings and marine-type corrosion are consistent with a marine hydraulic steering/rudder ram or a deck-equipment actuating cylinder, but no manufacturer nameplate or catalogue number is present, so no application is being claimed. The numbers visible on the part — 7080 0080, 2497, and a partial A3 stamping — have not been confirmed as orderable service part numbers and are listed as identifiers only.

Condition: used, untested take-out. Complete as pictured with barrel, both end caps, tie rods and hardware, rod, rod eye and ball pivot. Heavy green verdigris on the bronze, surface oxidation and staining on the steel barrel. Seals, bore condition, rod condition and pressure integrity are unknown — no pressure, stroke, or leak test has been performed.
