Description
Motorcraft 12-volt direct-drive starter motor of the Ford positive-engagement (movable pole shoe) type — the style that works with a remote fender-mounted starter relay rather than a body-mounted solenoid. The factory Motorcraft label reads "11001 12 V"; note that 11001 is Ford's basic number for a starter motor and is not by itself a complete orderable part number, and the line carrying the full prefix and suffix is torn and unreadable.
Application: not verified. This starter family was used across many Ford automotive, light-truck, industrial and marinized applications, but no specific engine or vessel has been documented for this individual unit. No SAE J1171 ignition-protection marking is legible, so it should not be assumed to be a marine ignition-protected starter.
Condition: used, untested take-off. Heavy surface rust, flaking paint, shop grime, a torn label, and a stainless band clamp of unknown origin around the field frame. Rotation, current draw, free speed and pinion engagement have not been tested and no operational claim is made. Sold by photographs, readable identifiers and dimensions.
Quote is subject to final fitment confirmation by engine/transmission serial number, part number, photos, and supplier availability. Buyer must confirm fitment by part number, photos, dimensions, engine model, serial number, and application before purchase. Used marine part sold as-is unless otherwise stated. No returns on electrical, used, special-order, or installed parts.
