MDY 7039 S Bendix Drive Electric Starter Motor Vintage Marine / Industrial - Used Untested

Vintage small-frame electric starter motor with Bendix-style inertia drive, band-clamped field frame and screw-in brush access plugs. The riveted factory ID plate is stamped MDY 7039 S — a format consistent with Autolite/Prestolite model coding, though no manufacturer name is legible and the brand is not confirmed.

Application: not verified. Starters of this general style were fitted to older marine gas, tractor and industrial engines, but no specific engine application has been established for this unit. Sold by photographs, identifiers, and dimensions.

Condition: used, untested take-out. Surface rust and paint flaking throughout; no cracked castings or broken mounting ears observed. Voltage, rotation, pinion tooth count, brush/commutator condition and drive engagement have not been tested. Treat as a rebuildable core until bench tested.

Quote is subject to final fitment confirmation by engine/transmission serial number, part number, photos, and supplier availability. Buyer must confirm fitment by part number, photos, dimensions, engine model, serial number, and application before purchase. Used marine part sold as-is unless otherwise stated. No returns on electrical, used, special-order, or installed parts.
