Caterpillar cast aluminum marine housing — believed to be an aftercooler / water-cooled air inlet housing, carrying cast number 2W7718 with mold mark J2607 and a bronze seawater nipple.

Application: Caterpillar marine diesel; reverse-image research associates this casting with the CAT 3208 marine family, but the exact application is NOT verified. This unit has no data plate, so fitment must be confirmed against your engine serial and arrangement number in the Caterpillar parts book.

Condition: Used, untested take-out. Paint flaking with white aluminum oxidation, surface rust on fasteners, and verdigris on the bronze nipple from seawater service. Casting appears sound in photos; no pressure test or internal inspection has been performed. Housing will be drained and ports capped before shipping.
