Application: Inner timing gear case cover / front gear housing for a marine diesel engine — casting layout is most consistent with a Yanmar inline marine diesel (Cummins B-series and similar also possible). Cast aluminum with three main bores (crank, cam, upper accessory/injection pump) and multiple idler and accessory drive openings. Condition: Used take-off. Old RTV/sealant residue on the mating surface; no visible cracks in photos. Sold as a serviceable core / used replacement housing.
